I am often asked why choose DU education, the reason being is I have a genuine passion for teaching and I believe every child has the right to an education and a right to achieve and learn. Due to my own experience of teaching I know that not all children can learn in a traditional learning classroom. That’s why at DU education we use innovative ways to teach which enables children to learn new skills. The children will have access to real salon experiences as well as having the opportunity to gain a accredited qualification. They will gain real life experience of what it will be like working in a salon. They will develop excellent communication skills, they will have access to customers and learn contemporary ways of working in a real salon environment whilst gaining an accredited qualification.
Our managing director, Lindsey, is also a qualified teacher. Lindsey specialises in teaching and learning and holds a degree in education. Lindsey has also completed a variety of training and continued her professional development in safeguarding vulnerable children, county lines and understanding Autism, Asperger’s and ADHD.
DU education are now into our second year of being established and have achieved 100% pass rate.

The course has been a massive help for me both with school and being able to learn something I enjoy and will have a good impact on my future.
